I am a 28-year-old freelance motion designer based in Salzburg, Austria. Actually I come from Stuttgart but somehow my Swabian self feels comfortable in the Austrian mountains. Yet often I am in different locations doing freelance work, most likely somewhere between Vienna and Stuttgart.
My main focus are 2D / 3D compositing and animation, including visual effects, typography, logo animation, data visualisation and retouching.
After working for an agency generating content for Red Bull, Deuter, DAV and similar, I became a freelancer in 2016. Since then I have been working on multiple motion design projects including music videos, projection mapping animations and such.
Mostly I am working directly with clients from the original concept, going through different steps of completion until the final output. I believe that strong communication between clients and artists creates a better outcome, so I like to stay in touch.
The main part of my work is done in After Effects, which I use for compositing, VFX and typography. Other 2D-tools in my pipeline are Photoshop, Illustrator, Character Animator, InDesign and similar. 3D work is mostly done in Maya and Cinema 4D. Optionally I use Nuke for compositing more complex 3D work.
